How HydroCure Wraps Work

A modern, easy-to-use version of the 200-year-old Priessnitz hydrotherapy method.

HydroCure Wraps use a simple sequence of gentle cooling followed by natural warming to support your body’s healing response.

The 3-Phase Response

The classic Priessnitz method activates three physiological phases:

Phase 1

Vasoconstriction

Initial coolness makes vessels gently tighten:

  • reduces swelling
  • calms inflammation
  • soothes pain
Phase 2

Vasodilation

The body warms the area, bringing:

  • fresh blood
  • oxygen + nutrients
  • deep relaxation
Phase 3

Reactive Hyperaemia

A gentle warm “after-effect” supports:

  • circulation
  • cell repair
  • natural healing
Simply said: the wrap cools first, then warms naturally — stimulating the healing power of your own body.
⚖️

Why choose HydroCure Wraps instead of a hot water bottle or cold pack?

Hot water bottles and cold packs only give one thing – strong heat or strong cold. HydroCure Wraps work differently: they use cool water and breathable layers to gently guide your body through a calming 3-phase response instead of shocking it.

Hot water bottle

  • Only provides heat on the surface.
  • Can be too hot for sensitive skin or children.
  • Risk of burns, leaks, or discomfort when lying on it.
  • Heavy, hard and often moves or rolls away.

Cold compress / ice pack

  • Only provides intense cold.
  • Can feel too aggressive or “shocking” to the body.
  • Often needs to be held in place by hand.
  • Plastic surface, condensation or chemical gels on the skin.

HydroCure Wraps

  • Use cool water, not extreme cold or heat.
  • Trigger a 3-phase response: cooling → gentle warming → improved circulation.
  • Soft, breathable cotton against the skin, cosy outer layer on top.
  • Stay in place with fastenings – easy to wear lying down or moving.
  • No electricity, no boiling water, no freezer blocks – just cool tap water.

In short: hot water bottles = only heat, cold packs = only cold, HydroCure Wraps = gentle cooling → warming → natural circulation support, inspired by the 200-year-old Priessnitz hydrotherapy method.

How to Use

  1. Soak the inner cotton layer in cool water.
  2. Wring out so it’s damp, not dripping.
  3. Insert into the wrap.
  4. Apply directly on the skin.
  5. Fasten the dry outer layer.
  6. Wear for 20–45 minutes.
