About HydroCure Wraps®
I grew up in the Czech Republic where Priessnitz wraps were a completely normal part of home care.
My grandmother used them for my mother. My mother used them for me. And later, I used them for my own children.
It was simple — a wet cloth, a plastic layer and a dry towel. Not perfect, not comfortable, but it worked.
Years later, living in the UK, I continued using the same method at home — especially when my daughter struggled with tonsillitis and would wake up at night in pain.
I would find myself in the middle of the night searching for towels and plastic bags, trying to put everything together while she was crying. The wrap never stayed properly in place. The plastic would move, sometimes scratch, and the whole process felt unnecessarily complicated.
One day, a friend in the Czech Republic told me that someone had created a modern version of the traditional wrap — something simple, practical and ready to use.
I didn’t think much of it at first. Until one night, again, standing there with towels and plastic in my hands, I thought:
The next morning, I went online to find this modern wrap.
And I couldn’t believe what I saw — or rather, what I didn’t see.
In the UK, where you can buy almost anything, there was no Priessnitz wrap available.
That was the moment everything changed.
I started looking deeper and realised that something completely normal for me — a simple, effective method used for generations — was almost unknown here. Instead, people reached straight for medication, often without knowing there was another option.
I reached out to the creator of the modern wrap, Martina Štefánková. We connected instantly, and today we work together, sharing the same vision — bringing a traditional method into modern life.
HydroCure Wraps® was created to make this method simple, accessible and practical for everyday use — without the need for towels, plastic or complicated preparation.
The name was chosen to feel natural in English, while still reflecting the original idea of the “water cure” — a method that has been part of European spa tradition for over 200 years.
