Helps ease limb & joint discomfort
HydroCure Limb & Joint Wrap® is a reusable wrap based on the traditional Priessnitz Water Cure method.
A cool, damp insert allows the characteristic cooling → warming → local blood circulatory response to develop. It can also be used as a short cold or warm, dry application.
When and how to use your wrap
Longer-Standing Muscle & Joint Discomfort
Traditional cold-to-warm Priessnitz application
Moisten the cotton insert with cool water, wring it out thoroughly and place it inside the wrap. Apply directly over the affected area.
Recommended duration: approximately 30–60 minutes.
The wrap should feel cool at first, then gradually become neutral and comfortably warm as the natural warming and local blood circulatory response develops.
A longer application may be used if it remains comfortable and well tolerated.
Rheumatic Aches & Stiffness
Traditional cold-to-warm Priessnitz application
Apply the cool, damp wrap around the affected joint or muscular area.
Recommended duration: approximately 30–60 minutes, according to individual response.
Allow sufficient time for the initial cooling sensation to progress into natural warming.
Muscle Aches After Physical Activity Or Overuse
Traditional cold-to-warm Priessnitz application
For aching or tired muscles without significant acute swelling or heat, apply for approximately 30–60 minutes.
If the area is newly injured, hot or swollen, use a short cold application instead.
Tendon & Soft-Tissue Discomfort
For longer-standing discomfort, use a:
Traditional cold-to-warm Priessnitz application — approximately 30–60 minutes.
For recent irritation, swelling or an acute injury, use a:
Short cold application — approximately 5–10 minutes.
Bruising & Mild Swelling After A Minor Injury
During the early, acute stage:
Use a short cold application for approximately 5–10 minutes.
Once the initial heat and swelling have settled, a traditional cold-to-warm Priessnitz application may be used for approximately 30–60 minutes.
Do not apply over broken skin.
Children’S “Growing Pains”
Traditional cold-to-warm Priessnitz application
For familiar, occasional aching in the legs, apply the cool, damp wrap comfortably around the affected area.
Recommended duration: approximately 20–30 minutes.
If needed and well tolerated, re-moisten the insert with cool water and repeat the application.
Children should always be supervised during use.
How it works
1. Cooling
The cool, damp insert lowers the temperature of the skin surface. The initial response includes narrowing of superficial blood vessels (vasoconstriction).
2. Warming
The insulating layers reduce heat loss. As the body responds to the cooling stimulus, the treated area gradually warms and superficial blood vessels widen (vasodilation).
3. Local Blood Circulatory Response
The cooling-to-warming cycle produces changes in local skin blood flow. This physiological response forms the basis of the traditional Priessnitz Water Cure method.
Preparation, layers and package contents
1. Moisten
Remove the inner cotton insert and moisten it thoroughly with cold or cool water.
2. Wring
Wring out excess water. The insert should be evenly damp but not dripping.
3. Insert
Place the damp insert back inside the HydroCure Wrap®.
4. Apply
Position the wrap directly against intact skin over the required area and secure it comfortably. The wrap should remain in close contact with the skin without restricting blood circulation.
5. Leave In Place
Use the guide above to select the appropriate application and duration for your symptoms.
Remove the wrap sooner if it causes excessive chilling, pain, numbness, skin irritation or any other unexpected discomfort.
3-Layer System
Inner removable layer
Absorbent cotton insert moistened before application.
Middle insulating layer
Helps prevent moisture passing through the wrap and reduces heat loss.
Outer layer
Soft, comfortable layer designed to hold the wrap securely in position.

Warnings And Precautions
For external use only.
Keep away from fire. This product is not a medical device.
Apply only to intact skin.
Do not use:
• on open wounds or broken, infected or severely irritated skin
• where normal skin sensation is significantly reduced
• if the wrap causes persistent pain, excessive chilling, numbness or irritation
Do not fasten the wrap so tightly that blood circulation is restricted.
Children and people who are frail, have impaired sensation, impaired blood circulation or are unable to communicate discomfort should use the wrap only under appropriate supervision.
If you are uncertain whether Priessnitz application is appropriate for you because of an existing medical condition, seek advice from an appropriate healthcare professional before use.
This product is intended for supportive use and should not delay appropriate medical assessment or treatment. Seek medical advice for severe, unexplained, persistent or worsening symptoms.
Normal Response During A Wet Priessnitz Application
An initial sensation of coolness is expected when the damp insert is first applied.
During a longer cold-to-warm application, the area should gradually feel less cold and become comfortably warmer as body heat accumulates beneath the insulating layers.
Temporary mild redness of the skin may occur after removal as local skin blood flow changes.
A short cold application is deliberately removed earlier, before the full warming response develops.
Stop using the wrap if you experience significant pain, prolonged numbness, marked skin irritation or any unexpected reaction.
